It is generally accepted that excellent only in the natural resources is not a guarantee to raise the prosperity of a country. It has been proven by several countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan whose is poor natural resources but possess excellence in their human resources. A high quality of human resources in science and technology is an asset to increase the value added of the natural resources. Indonesia possesses excellence in the natural resources. When this advantage is accompanied with the excellent human resources, then prosperity for entire society of Indonesia will be faster achieved. As we can see, the quality of human resources of Indonesia is increase from year to year. However, this potential will not working optimally if its strength is not known. Based on this consideration, now, around 150 Indonesian scientists and researchers are researching at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Johor, Malaysia. They are spread in various disciplines in the field of science and technology. Thus, a medium is needed to explore this potential and raise co-operation in science and technology among the Indonesian scientists and researchers. This journal is a medium for reporting selected original and significant contributions to new science and technology knowledge of Indonesian scientists and researchers in Johor, Malaysia. However, we are pleased to welcome contribution of papers outside of Johor, Malaysia.
